TINK’s story
Since 2012, Tink has been crafting jewellery in Melbourne, starting with hand fabrication and repairs. These early experiences showed him the importance of quality, handmade pieces in a world increasingly filled with lesser-quality imports. Using traditional and modern techniques, he prides himself on showcasing the chosen materials and allowing their natural beauty to shine.
Tink’s passion for gold and gemstones, especially sapphires, has only grown over the years. Ten years ago he bought a secondhand detector from Ballarat, which he takes to the Victorian goldfields whenever he can. Each year, along with his wife Erin, he embarks on trips across Australia to fossick and buy unique gemstones, infusing his work with the beauty and character of the land. This connection with the materials and the people who mine them ensures that our Australian-sourced gemstones, including sapphires, are truly local. We highlight this aspect in the product listings for pieces featuring these gemstones.
